Buckingham will be holding a Remembrance Day Assembly on Friday, November 10th at 9:45am (parents are welcome to attend). Students will be given a poppy to wear on this day.
Every year, tens of millions of Canadians wear a poppy as a visual pledge to honour Canada’s Veterans and remember those who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. We will be collecting donations on School Cash from November 2-13th, through your donations to the Legion Poppy Fund, the Legion provides financial assistance and support to Veterans, including Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP, and their families who are in need.
As this day of remembrance falls on Saturday, students will have Monday, November 13, 2023 as a day off in lieu.
